The Archaeological Museum of Aegina is located in Colona of Aegina. Founded in 1828 by Ioannis Kapodistrias and today is housed in a building, which is donated by the Bavarian archaeologists, which was moved in 1980. It houses a collection of ancient jewelry, pottery and sculpture, coins, weapons and bronze vessels, the most important exhibit is the statue of the Sphinx.
